We’ve all done it, booked a holiday property with grand plans of saving money by preparing various meals at the property only to get there and find out that their AirBnB cleaning service https://blackbirdpropertymanagement.com.au/airbnb-cleaning/ wasn’t up to scratch be it a dirty oven or that the kitchen is too grotty to cook in or that you’ve been limited to one plate/glass/cutlery set per person with very little else by way of cooking implements.
Not only is this annoying but it makes you question the cleanliness of the entire property and starts the holiday on a very bad note for the guest.
Make sure your oven is clean!
We recently stayed at an AirBnB property that had the dirtiest oven I’ve ever seen. It was like someone had cooked up a giant batch of black treacle and then that treacle exploded over the entire oven coating it in a black sludge that made my decision to cook a Sunday roast on the first night of our stay a bad idea. Not only was it annoying that the hosts didn’t care enough to make sure that their oven was useable, I felt like I’d wasted $40 buying ingredients to make a roast dinner and then had to ditch these plans and make do with a very average takeaway pizza. Make sure you are giving specific instructions to your AirBnB cleaner that the oven must be cleaned properly on a regular basis, same goes for your BBQ if you have one. Our AIrBnB cleaners clean the oven each time they visit the property and will make sure your BBQ is in tip-top condition for your next guests.
Keep your kitchen cupboards and drawers tidy
You know that third drawer that everyone has that is filled with junk and other stuff that is that doesn’t have a place in your kitchen? Well that drawer shouldn’t exist in your AirBnB property! Our AirBnB cleaner will make sure that all your drawers are clean and tidy and wiped down on a regular basis. This ensures that your guests will feel comfortable cooking in your property and goes towards ensuring a good review.
Say No Fridge Monsters
We are all guilty of this, leaving food in the fridge to slowly disintegrate or keeping condiments that are way past their expiry date. Your guests don’t need that jar of fancy mustard you bought in 2003 and used once and put back in the fridge ‘just in case you needed again’. An AirBnB fridge should be cleaned out by your AirBnB cleaning service after each guest and all perishables disposed off, with the selves and vegetable crisper wiped out and left clean for your next guests.
Cooking Utensils
Basic cooking utensils are a must! That doesn’t mean that you need to ensure your kitchen comes complete with a Sous Vide rather that you have enough cooking utensils for someone to prepare basic meal. Here is where the local $2 shop is your friend, think measuring spoons and cups, spatula, salad spinner, basic serving utensils, tongs and some serving plates or platters.
Basic Cooking Ingredients
No one wants to spend money buying olive oil or salt because their hosts were too cheap to include basic cooking ingredients or worse when you rock up to your holiday property after a four hour drive with a carload full of ingredients having assumed that your hosts would have stocked the kitchen with at least salt and pepper and it’s too late to find the local shops and pick up some.
The AirBnB Cleaning Service is Critical to your AirBnB Property
A dirty property (or even one dirty element within your property) will probably lead to a bad review which will effect your future booking potential. Having a good AirBnB cleaning company is one of the most important elements of an AirBnB property. At Blackbird Property Management we only use the best cleaners who understand all these elements and who only work on AirBnB properties.
